Privacy policy

Intahnet Solutions Ltd (company no. 17415773, VAT: GB 529 4435 73) is the data controller responsible for personal data collected through this website.

This policy outlines what data the company collects, how it processes that data, and the legal rights available under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

Data Collection

The website collects three types of data:

  1. Contact Data. The company collects your name, email address, and message contents when you use the contact form.
  2. Technical Data. The website logs your IP address (anonymised), browser type, time zone setting, browser plug-in types, and operating system.
  3. Usage Data. The website records information about how you navigate and use the site.

How Data is Collected

  • Direct Interactions: You provide your identity and contact data by filling in forms or corresponding via email.
  • Automated Technologies: The website automatically collects technical data using cookies and server logs as you interact with it.

The company processes data under the following legal bases:

  • Responding to Enquiries: The company processes contact data to answer questions or discuss potential consulting engagements. This is necessary for legitimate business interests and for taking steps prior to entering into a contract.
  • Site Analytics: The company processes technical and usage data to understand site performance and visitor behaviour.
    • Google Analytics: The site loads this only if you explicitly consent via the cookie banner. It uses cookies to track usage metrics and anonymises IP addresses.
    • Cloudflare Web Analytics: This runs by default. It is a privacy-first analytics tool that does not use cookies, collect personal data, or track users across sites.

Google API Services Usage

Intahnet Solutions Ltd operates an internal application, “Intahnet Solutions”, that connects to Google APIs via OAuth. In compliance with Google’s OAuth Verification requirements, the following policies apply strictly to any data obtained via Google APIs:

  • What Google user data is accessed by the application: The Intahnet Solutions application accesses the data you have provided to us, specifically Google Ads account configurations, campaign metrics, and advertising performance data (via the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords scope).
  • How the application uses Google user data: The Intahnet Solutions application uses your data to provide internal reporting, automated infrastructure monitoring, and programmatic management of advertising campaigns.
  • With whom the application shares, transfers, or discloses Google user data: Intahnet Solutions Ltd does not transfer or disclose your information to third parties for purposes other than the ones provided. The application never uses this data to target personalized advertisements, make lending decisions, or determine credit-worthiness.
  • Data protection mechanisms for sensitive data: Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality of your data. The application protects all Google user data using industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.
  • Data retention and deletion: The Intahnet Solutions application stores your personal information for a period of time that is consistent with our business purposes. When the data retention period expires for a given type of data, it is permanently deleted or destroyed. You may request for your data to be deleted at any time by emailing the contact address below.
  • Limited Use Disclosure: The Intahnet Solutions application’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
  • AI/ML Prohibition: The Intahnet Solutions application explicitly affirms it does not use Google APIs or Google user data to develop, improve, or train non-personalized generalized machine-learning (ML) or artificial intelligence (AI) models.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

Intahnet Solutions Ltd never sells website data. The company shares data only with service providers required to operate the business:

  • Google Ireland Limited: For Google Analytics (subject to your consent) and email hosting (Google Workspace).
  • Cloudflare: For DNS, CDN, and basic privacy-preserving web analytics.

Where these providers process data outside the UK, they do so under approved safeguards such as the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

Data Security and Retention

Intahnet Solutions Ltd employs strict security measures to prevent accidental loss, unauthorised access, or misuse of personal data.

The company retains website data only as long as necessary to fulfil the collection purpose, including satisfying legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. It typically deletes enquiries that do not lead to an engagement within 12 months.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data.
  • Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data.
  • Request erasure of your personal data where there is no good reason to continue processing it.
  • Object to processing of your personal data where the legal basis is a legitimate interest.
  • Request restriction of processing of your personal data.
  • Request the transfer of your personal data to a third party.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where consent is the legal basis for processing (e.g., clearing your browser cookies to withdraw Google Analytics consent).

You also have the right to complain at any time to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection issues (www.ico.org.uk).
